Greg Ginn purchased New Alliance Records from Mike Watt and Martin Tamburovich sometime in 1987 — right around the time I started working at SST Records. I was asked to come up with a new logo for NAR, and this is what I came up with. I went for the same typewriter aesthetic, but stylized it a bit. —Craig Ibarra
